OM 420 Dhanes® Damar Varnish Damar Varnish is used as a final coating on a completely dry painting to give the surface a consistent appearance. It also helps protect the painting from dirt and dust. • Use only on completely dry paintings • Dries to a colorless and transparent film • Apply using thin layers • Dries with a glossy finish OM 324 Dhanes® Poppyseed Oil Poppyseed Oil is extracted from the seed of the poppy plant • Pale, nearly colorless drying oil • Use for making whites and light colored paints • Dries very slowly, in approximately 10 days • Retains brush marks OM 328 Dhanes® Sun-Thickened Linseed Oil This oil is partially polymerized and slightly oxidized. Sun-Thickened Oil is made by exposing Linseed Oil to strong sunlight for a few weeks. • Less viscous than Stand Oil • Suitable for oil mediums • Good leveler for oil colors • Helps improve drying time OM 330 Dhanes® Drying Oil Contains more drier than Pale Drying Linseed Oil. • Dries faster than Pale Drying Linseed Oil • Use as a substitute for drier with oil colors • Dries in approximately 3 days OM 326 Dhanes® Stand Oil This is partially polymerized but unoxidized linseed oil. It is an excellent addition to painting and glazing mediums. • Suitable for oil mediums • Yellows less than other forms of linseed oil • Forms a smooth enamel-like surface • Will not show brush strokes • Dries in approximately 14 days OM 322 Dhanes® Pale Dying Linseed Oil This is Linseed Oil with a small amount of drier added to improve drying • Dries faster than Dhanes Linseed Oil • Improves flow, add directly to oil colors • Dries in approximately 5 days OM 425 Dhanes® Retouch Varnish Retouch Varnish is used to clean oil paintings and restore dull areas. • Use with unfinished paintings • Use over dull areas • Restores gloss OM 344 Dhanes® Turpentine Gum Turpentine is obtained from the sap in pine trees. • Use as a solvent • Use as a thinner for oil mediums
